Cyst Removal
Rapid Access to the Services you Require in State of the Art Facilities

Cysts are blister-like lumps that can contain liquid, pus, gas or other materials. They can be found anywhere on the body and can be unsightly and uncomfortable if they become infected. Cysts can develop for a number of reasons including infection, clogged pores or because of a foreign body (for example an earring).

Why Have Cyst Removal?

Generally, cyst removal is not available on the NHS. Nu Health offer affordable cyst removal in our state of the art, purpose built procedure room.

What Does Cyst Removal Involve?

Cyst removal is a surgical procedure, however in the vast majority of cases, only a local anaesthetic is required. This means that the area is completely numb during the procedure, so you won’t feel any pain; however you will be fully awake. Cyst removal normally involves making a small incision on the surface of the cyst and allowing the contents to drain out; sometimes the contents may need to be aspirated (using a small cannula with suction). A sterile dressing will then be applied to the area.

The procedure is quick and straightforward, with the complete treatment normally taking no more that 30 minutes.
If required, the cyst will be sent for histology (testing) following removal.
