Chlamydia
Chlamydia is one of the most common sexually transmitted infections in the UK. It is transmitted by having unprotected sex. If it is identified early, it can normally be completely treated with antibiotics.
If left untreated, chlamydia can have serious consequences for your health. In women, it can cause pelvic inflammatory disease, cervicitis (inflammation of the cervix), blocked fallopian tubes, swollen glands and ultimately infertility. In men, it can cause urethritis, epididymitis and reactive arthritis.
If you think you may have put yourself at risk, we recommend you get tested for this and other STI’s as quickly as possible, limiting the risk of complications. Nu Health perform these tests quickly, professionally and confidentially making it as stress free as possible.
